Hail the Sun Lights Up The Wiltern in Their Biggest LA Show Yet

There’s something different about seeing a band grow in real time and for me seeing Hail the Sun at The Wiltern for the third time made that clear. This wasn’t just another show. It felt like a milestone. From the moment the doors opened the energy in the room was building and by the time they hit the stage it was undeniable that this was their biggest Los Angeles show yet.

The crowd was packed wall to wall and every song felt louder more alive and more connected than before. Being in the mosh pit with my camera I could feel how much the audience has grown alongside them. Hail the Sun did not just perform. They took over the entire room and never looked back.

As a fan of Kurt Travis getting to see his band Gold Necklace as part of the night was a huge bonus. It added another layer to an already strong lineup and made the night feel even more special. Kill Iconic continues to bring together lineups that highlight rising talent and give these bands a real platform to shine.

Midway through the set Donovan the lead singer of Hail the Sun shared that his parents were in the crowd supporting them. It was one of those moments that grounded everything. You could see how much it meant not just to him but to the entire band. It reminded everyone in the room that this was personal.

They spoke about this being their biggest show in Los Angeles so far and even mentioned hopes of returning to larger venues like the Hollywood Palladium and eventually even arenas. After witnessing this performance, it is easy to believe. The way they command a stage connect with fans and continue to grow their audience makes it feel inevitable.

From high energy mosh pit moments to emotional songs that hit just as hard the night had everything. As both a fan and a photographer this was one of those shows that sticks with you. Hail the Sun is not just growing they are building something much bigger and this night at The Wiltern proved it.
