The Red Pears Bring Summer to Palmdale, CA

Some drives are worth every mile.

I had the opportunity to drive out to Palmdale to photograph The Red Pears as part of Sounds of LA County, a free summer concert series presented by LA County Parks and NextFest LA that celebrates Los Angeles' independent music scene.

The outdoor setting made for the perfect summer evening, and The Red Pears' music fit the atmosphere perfectly. It was one of those shows where everything just came together. Families, friends, and fans gathered to enjoy a night of live music, and the energy stayed high from beginning to end.

I have my nieces to thank for introducing me to The Red Pears. They were the reason I started listening to their music, and over time I became a fan myself. Getting the opportunity to photograph one of their performances felt like a full circle moment.

There were plenty of memorable moments throughout the night. One of the biggest surprises came when a couple got engaged on stage. It was a special moment that the entire crowd got to celebrate together. Later in the set, a fan jumped into the crowd, adding another unforgettable moment to an already exciting show.

This show had everything from great music and an incredible crowd to genuine moments that made the night special.

Thank you to The Red Pears, Sounds of LA County, LA County Parks, and NextFest LA for putting together such a memorable evening and making live music accessible to the community.

I hope to see and photograph The Red Pears again soon.
